Alison Krauss has been a country artist for more than 30 years. She was born in Decatur IL on the 23rd day of July in 1971. LeAnne Kymes is also among the two most recent Grammy Award recipients. Alison Maria Krauss (born July 23rd, 1971) is an American bluegrass and country musician as well as singer. Her career began in the music industry as a child, when she was a mere 10 years young. She was signed in 1985 by Rounder Records. Her first solo album was released in 1987. She was invited to join the band with which she still performs Alison Krauss and Union Station and later released her first album in the group in the year 1989.
