Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy, a half-English and half-Spanish woman, was born April 16, 1996 in Miami Florida. Half English mixed with Spanish her parents are Dennis Alan Taylor a former banker and Jennifer Marina Joy a psychologist. Her father, an Argentinan of Scottish as well as English descendant is her mother. The mother of Taylor-Joy is Spanish and has English roots. Taylor-Joy is one of the five children. Four are from Taylor's father's prior marriage. They lived within Buenos Aires until she was six, after which they moved to the Victoria part in London. Taylor Joy says that moving to England was a very difficult experience. Taylor Joy was unable to master English and was hoping to move back to Argentina. Hill House became her school that she chose after being forced to change schools. In the following years, she attended Queen's Gate School and studied ballet. When she was 16 she left school to take on a full-time job in acting. Taylor-Joy has always known she wanted to work as an actor. Her dream was granted a chance by Sarah Doukas founder of Storm Management and was offered an opportunity as a model.
