Taylor Swift has become a rare pop phenomenon: A celebrity who has strayed from country music to pop culture and became the pop icon of the future that will last forever and conquering everywhere. Swift dropped country as if it was another layer, showing that she is perhaps the most intelligent pop singer/songwriter of her time. One who can harness the mood of times to make her music personal, and sing in the other direction. Swift's early tracks including the neotribute to Tim McGraw were a testament of her ability. However, her second album Fearless in 2008 showcased the songwriter finding her voice, and also a larger public. Fearless became hugely popular not only in America with the Top Ten singles Love Story as well as You Belong with Me helped it to achieve six platinum records but also around the world. It performed particularly well in Canada, Australia and the U.K. Swift's Speak Now album released two years ago consolidated her previous success, and catapulted Swift into the spotlight. The next three albums she released, Red (2012) 1989 (2004) and Reputation (2017) and Reputation, Swift's popularity grew and she became part of a world of pop music where it was clear that she was a part of. It was not long before she reformulated her approach in 2020's more streamlined siblings Folklore (and Evermore) and stayed atop of the pop world.
